Day 10 Build

This is it - the last day of the Blitz Build. Ten houses in ten days built by hundreds of volunteers. We finished all the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms, and the tiling in the bathroom. Once the floors were finished, we worked on putting trim around the bottom of all the walls. We also installed all the kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, light fixtures, closets, and doors. Some of the sub-contractors were still working on the final touches when I left, so I didn't get any pictures of the totally completed house, but hopefully I will tomorrow at the goodbye ceremony. I'll also get some of the other nine houses - for real this time. Take a look at what we've all done, and make sure to check back for the final look tomorrow after the ceremony and blessing of ten new homes!
